and later was appointed Town Constable by Arkansas Governor James Clarke in 1897. Paul died in the fall of 1900 of "Swamp Fever", probably
cholera. He was buried at Stonewoods cemetery in Dora Township, Arkansas.

construction building at Harrisburg. He retired two years ago because of his health.
