James R. Sharrett officiating. Mr. Pemberton died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital, Monroe, La. He was born Sept. 21, 1917, in Clinton, Tenn. to Daniel R. and Edith (YOUNG) PEMBERTON. He married Shirley Tracy on Dec. 28, 1946, in Carey, and she died Dec. 12, 1989. He then married Vivian Whitney on June 29, 1995, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Randy (Judy) Donald, Weston; Mrs. Pat (Annmaire) McClellan, McAllen, Texas; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Danelle Griss; and a sister, Marjorie Cece. Mr. Pemberton retired in 1978 from Marathon Oil after 25 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Italy and North Africa. He was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Findlay; and Masonic bodies in McAllen, Texas.
