I John Cooper of the county of Anderson and State of Tennessee, being sick and week of body but possessing a sound mind and disposing memory and calling to mind the shortness of life and certainty of death do nominate and appoint my last will and testimony in manner and form following towit: I give and bequeath to the dust from whence I was taken and recommend my soul to God who gave it. I wish my body to be decently buried and my funeral expenses paid out of my perishable property and all my just debts paid. I request my land to be sold and the proceeds to be equally divided between my four children towit, James Cooper, Charles Cooper, Martha Webb and John Cooper. Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint William McKamy Sr. and Robert McKamy Executors of this my last will and testament requesting that they may fully have the contents of this will fully executed according. In witness whereof I hereof have set my hand and affixed my seal the 2nd of November in the year of our Lord 1834. In presence of us who at his request have subscribed ourselves.
