The last will and testment of John Cox Sr. of the State of Tennessee Anderson County, being in the 92nd year of my life but sound and proper mind and memory and in full view of the facts that at most of the time of my deciest is near I do make and publish this as my last Will and Testament. hereby revoking and making voidid all others by me at any time mind. First: I desier and direct that my funeral expenses and all debts I may die oweing be paid as soon after my death as possible out of the first funds that may come to the hands of my Exectors hereinafter named and by me appointed to be in power. Secondly: I desire and direct that my beloved wife Alice Cox and and myself have and enjoy during our natural life the full benefit and privilige of all we posses both real and personal that we may possess during our lives. Third: I give and bequest to the bodily hears of my daughter Lacey Dew, decist as follows-to-wit to Susan M. Brown formely Susan M. Dew the sum of five dollars, to Margaret E. Barnet formerly Margaret E. Dew, the sum of five dollars, to John C. Dew five dollars, to James R. Dew five dollars, to Allace E. Duncan formerly Allace E. Dew five dollars, to Nancy H. Dew, the sum of five dollars and to Matthew H. Dew, the sum of five dollars. The several sums I desier the hears of said Lacey to have and no more other of my estate for resions satisfactory to myself and that my executors as soon after my death as convenienth pay the sum over to each as named. Fourthly: Of all the remainder of my estate of any description I desier and direct that my other hears namely James H. Cox. Susan Maberry, formily Susan Cox, John R. Cox, R. T. Cox, Margaret A. Turner, formered Margaret A. Cox, Mos C. Cox, and S. L. Cox. Fifthly: That C. C. Cox, P. M. Cox, C. B. Cox, and R. M. Cox, have allready each received three hundred dollars of land by deed of my estate and the remainder of my estate to be divided with the remainer of my hears untell they receive the sum of three hundred dollars each and if any remainder to be equiely divided with all of my hears with the exceptions of Lacey and hears and if not C. B. Cox, P. M. Cox, C. C. Cox, and R. M. Cox to be pay over untell equl and also fifty acres to be measured including the homsted to Rufus M. Cox for taking care of us the remainder of our time by paying to C. B. Cox at our death fifty dollars for aiding and assisting us for our suport during our natural lives. Fourth: As I desire this my last will and testiment properly carried out I hereby nominate and appoint James H. Cox, J. L. Cox and S. L.
