Lot This Indenture made this 2d day of April in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty one Betwen Joseph Brittain & Giles Burdett of Bedford County & State of Tennessee on the part and John W. McGimsey of the county of Bedford & State of Tennessee on the other part Witnesseth that the said Joseph Brittain & Giles Burdett for & in conside- ration of Forty five hundred & fifty dollars to them in hand paid by the said John W. McGimsey the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given Granted bargined sold aliened conveyed & confirmed unto the said John W. McGimsey his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County of Bedford & State aforesaid & in the Town of Shelbyville known & distinguished in the General plan by part of Lot No Eighty 80. Begining at the Northwest corner the same being the Northwest corner of the publick Square runing thence North to John Bairds house with the street thence West across said Lot thirty six feet thence North forty six feet within two feet of the lower end of Bairds paylings thence west crossing said Lot to the west boundary line of said Lot thence with said line south to the corner of said Lot thence East with the street to the Begining.
