Witnesseth that the said William Eoff for and in consideration of the of[sic] Two hund[sic] and Fifty Dollars in had paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold alien[sic] and confirmed and by these presents doth grant Bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said William Sharp his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Bedford and State aforesaid ... ... lying on the waters of Scotts Branch a Fork of Garison[sic] Fork of Duck River Beginning on two sugar trees James Morrows North West corner and on the top of a ridge running thence North Sixty two (degrees) West Eighty nine poles to a dog wood and sugar tree on the top of said ridge thence [8, 80?] (degrees) West Eighty four Poles to a sugar tree & Lyn[sic] growing from the same roots thence North 60 (degrees) West Sixty poles to two sugar trees thence North 12 Degrees East Twenty Poles to a hickorey[sic] and Beech thence N43 ° West Forty two Poles to Lyn and dogwood thence N87 (degrees) East [Sixty, Sixteen?] Poles to two Hickoreys[sic] thence South 66° East one hundred and Forty four Poles to a Beech and BuckeEye thence North 12 (degrees) East sixty three Poles to Poplar in a Hollar[sic] thence with the [middle?] of the holler South 71 (degrees) East [thereby, thusly?] to [a ?] thence S88E Forty too[sic] Poles to a walnut and honey locus[sic] in the senter[sic] of said Hollow and on James Morrow west Boundary line thence South with said line one hundred and sixty poles to the Beginning containing one hundred and [forty, fifty?] acres and one half to the same more or less.
