Holmes GLOBETREKR@aol.com ==================================================================== 526 Recorded May 8th 1813 The State of Tennessee ---- No. 4710 To all whom these presents shall come --- GREETINGS: KNOW YE, That by virtue of Warrant No. 507 dated the July 10th 1784 issued to Thomas Hall by John Armstrong Entry Officer of claims for the North Carolina Western Lands and entered on the 29th day of August 1807 by No. 386 ? there is granted by the said state of Tennessee unto The said Thomas Hall and his heirs ------ a certain tract or parcel of land, containing Three thousand acres lying in Bedford County in the Second District and on both sides of Elk River -- Beginning at a cherry tree, sugar tree and ashe, they being the North East corner of a survey made on the house of Edward Harris for 640 acres running from thence East 520 poles to two souiwoods and black gum thence South crossing Elk River in all six hundred and fifty poles to a red oak and two black oaks,. thence, West Eight hundred and Eighty poles to a chestnut tree in the East boundary lines of James Winchesters Survey, thence North 394 1/2 poles to two sycamores and horn beam in the south boundary line of said Edward Harris’ survey in a small Island? thence East with his lines Three hundred and Sixty poles to two Ashes two birches said Harris’ south east corner thence, north with another line crossing the River, two hundred and fifty six poles to the Beginning. Survey on 3rd November 1808 by A.S.
