Know ye that in Consideration of the loliary? service Performed by John RALPH to the State of N Carolina Warrant No. 3103 for 640 Acres dated the 8th day of December 1785 & Dated on the 22d January 1818 by No. 1060 There is granted by the sd. State of Tennessee unto William HARTSFIELD assignee of the Heirs of the said John RALPH a Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Containing Forty Nine Acres Part of Said Warrant by Survey Bearing date the 20th day of February 1818 lying in the Second District in Bedford County between Powells and Sugar Creek and bounded as follows To Wit Begining at a red oak STROTHERS No. East Corner of his 248 Acre Tract Thence north Twenty Poles to a hawbush Ash & Ceder in POWELs South Boundary line Thence With his line East Three Hundred and ninety eight poles to a White Oak POWELs South East Corner thence South Twenty Poles to Two Poplars Supposed to be in TOLBOTs North boundary line Thence West Passing SHARPs and DOUGANs North East Corner & With their line West in all Three hundred and Twenty Eight poles to the Begining {70 With the hereditaments and appertenances To Have and TO Hold the Said Tract or Parcel of Land its appertenances to the said William HARTSFIELD and his hiers forever.
