BEDFORD COUNTY, TN - COURT - Chancery Court Decree, Land Transfer to Jeremiah Jacobs ----¤¤¤---- Deed Book QQ, page 460 Court Decree to Jeremiah Jacobs Decree 100 acres William Wood ¦ vs ¦ Be it remembered that this cause came on Alfred Jacobs ¦ for hearing and was heard this 27th day of February 1849 Upon Bill, Answer and Proconfesso, Order and Replication and the clerks report and it appearing to the satisfaction of the clerk & master, that the purchaser, Jeremiah Jacobs, has paid the full amount of the purchase money for said Land. It is therefore ordered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that all the right, title, claim & interest, which William Wood, Mary L(ouise?), Ann, James M., Martha, Tabitha, John W., Frances & Mary A. Robinson and Jacob, Susan, Sarah and Catharine Nichols and Alfred Jacobs and William have in and to the following described tract of land, Bounded as follows, lying in the County of Bedford and in Civil District No. 1, Supposed to contain one hundred acres & bounded as follows, Beginning at a rock, Elm, Hickory & Beech the North West corner of said tract, and the North East corner of a tact of land owned by John G. Walker, and the South East & West corners of two tracts of land owned by the heirs of A. B. Rowton(sic), thence South crossing (Noah's?) Fork at forty six poles and the Shelbyville and McMinville road at Seventy two poles in all South one hundred and Seventy three & one half poles to a rock in Mead Hale's East boundary line. Thence East with one of said Hale's north boundary lines, ninety four poles and nineteen links to a stake in said North Boundary lne and the South West corner of Lot No. 5 this tract. Thence North with the West boundary line One hundred and Seventy three and one half poles to a stake, the North West corner of Lot No. 5 and in the South boundary line of a tract owned by said Routon's(sic) Heirs, then West with said Rowton's(sic) line to the beginning, And that the same be divested out of them, and vested in the said Jeremiah Jacobs, his heirs and assigns forever. And that Jeremiah Jacobs pay the costs of this Decree. I, William J. Whilthorn, Clerk & Master of the Chancery Court at Shelbyville, do certify that the foregoing is a True Copy of the decree pronounced in this cause by the Honourable (sic) the Chancery Court for Bedford County at its February Term 1849.
