Osborne TSLA, Bedford County Deeds, Book GG, Page 178, 26 Sept 1835 Jane Meadows to G.G. Osborne Deed 59 1/2 acres This Indenture made this twenty sixth day of September in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty five between Jane Meadows and G.G. Osborne, both of the County of Bedford and State of Tennessee Witnesseth that the said Jane Meadows hath for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to her in hand paid by the said Osborne, bargained, Sold and by these presents confirmed to the said G.G. Osborne a certain Tract or parcel of land. Situate in said County of Bedford Between the Wartrace and Garrison forks of Duck River, being the place whereon said Jane Meadows now lives, and bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at a dead white ash and two Black Ash's (sic) in Muses line, running South to a Stone, in Samuel Haggard's line thence West with said Haggard's line to Magdalina Waits East boundary line of her dower--thence North on said line to Muse's line, thence East to the beginning on said Muses line. Containing fifty nine and one half acres, To have and to hold to the said G.G. Osborne his heirs and assigns forever, the aforesaid land and bargained premises with all the rights profits, hereditaments and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and the said Jane Meadows, for herself, heirs, Executors and Administrators covenants to and with the said G.G. Osborne his heirs and assigns, to warrant and forever defend against the lawfull (sic) claim or claims of herself and all persons claiming under her only. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this day and date above written. Signed sealed & delivered in presence of George Waite Jurat 26th July William Walker Jurat 5th August Daniel Meadows Jane Meadows State of Tennessee, Bedford County--Personally (sic) appeared before me, William D. Orr, clerk of Bedford County Court George Waite on the 26th July and William Walker on the 5th of August 1835, two of the Subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing deed, who being respectively sworn, depose and say that they are acquainted with Jane Meadows the bargainess and that she acknowledged the same in their presence to be her act and deed upon the day it bears date.
