This Indenture, made this 3rd day of April in the the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Twenty one betwen Abraham B. Morton of Bedford County, & State of Tennessee on the part & John W McGimsey of the County of Bedford and State aforesaid on the other part Witnesseth that the said A B. Morton for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said John W. McGimsey the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given Granted bargined sold aliened conveyed & confirmed unto the said John W. McGimsey heirs assigns forever a certain Tract or parcel of Land situate lying & being in the county of Bedford & in the plan of the Town of Shelbyville Known by No (81) part of said Lot (viz) Begining at Brittons stable runing thence West to a stake the Northwest corner of said Lot thence South one half the distance of said Lot to a stake thence East to intersect with Brittons Lot now McGimpseys No 81 thence with said line North to the Begining Containing one equal half of the aforesaid Lot which was purchased by William Lock for the Commissioners of said Town To Have & To Hold the aforesaid land & premisses with all and singular the rights profits emoluments hereditaments & appurtenances of in & to the same Belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use & behoof of him the said John W. McGimsey [--pg. 173--] his heirs & assigns forever. And the said A.B. Morton for his heirs executors & administrators do covenant & agree to & with the said John W.
