Moses Payne to Allen Knight, Bedford Co., TN, 13 Aug 1823

(Note: Several words are hidden in the crease where the pages are attached to 
the book's spine. I've used brackets to identify words which I believe are on 
the original but are partly or entirely hidden from view on the microfilm. The 
Payne witness's first name is not recorded as Zebediah. It is Zedekeah or 
possibly Zedekiah as recorded by the clerk.)

418) Moses Payne to Allen Knight 41 Acres
This Indenture made this Thirteenth day of
August in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand
Eight Hundred and Twenty three Between Moses
Payne of the County of Bedford & State of Tennessee
of the one part and Allen Knight of the County &
State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that
For & in Consideration of the sum of five hundred
Dollars to me in hand paid by the said Allen
Knight the receipt whareof is hereby Acknowledged
Hath Granted Bargained & Sold Allieaned Conveyed
and Confirmed & as by these presents Grant bargain
Sell allien Convey & Confirm unto the said Allen
Knight his heirs and assigns forever a Certain
Tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being [in]
The County of Bedford and on the North side of
The Barren fork of Duck River Begining [in]
The middle of the south or Barren Fork of Duck
River in the western boundary line of 122 [acre]
Tract of Land Purchased by Shrewsberry Payne [from]
James Patton & Andrew Erwin Runing North thirty
degrees west One hundred and four poles to a beach
In Nicholas Cobles line thence north 80 [degrees] East forty
Eight poles to a White Oak Corner near the [Creek ?]
Thence south fourteen poles to an ash Corner thence
East fifty five poles to a Beach thence south [54 ?]
degrees East Eighteen poles to the middle of said Barren
Fork of Duck River thence down the Channel of

same more or Less To Have and to hold the aforesaid
tract of land together with all & singular the right profits
emoluments hereditaments & appertenances thereto belonging

Knight his heirs and assigns forever and I the said Moses
Payne for myself my heirs Executors Adm. & assigns
