452) Moses & Micajer Payne to Elijah Holt for 110 Acres
This Indenture made this Thirty first day of
December in the Year of Our Lord one thousand Eight
Hundred and nineteen Between Moses Payne & Micajer
Payne of the County of Bedford and State of Tennessee of
The One part and Elijah Holt of the County of Bedford
and State of Tennessee of the other part Witnesseth
That for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eleven
Hundred Dollars to us in hand paid by the Said
Elijah Holt the receipt whareof is hereby Acknowledged
Hath Granted, bargained Sold alliened Conveyed
and Confirmed and do by these presents Grant
Bargain Sell allien Convey and Confirm unto the
Said Elijah Holt his heirs and assigns forever a
Certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate Lying &
being in the County of Bedford and on the East side of
Dawdy Creek a North branch of the Barron fork of
Duck River Begining on an ash & hickory [known?]
By Thomas Westalls north East Corner Runing with
Said line To the Bluff on the west side of Dawdys
Creek to a Walnut thence down the said Creek adjoining
Said Bluff to a Lynn Supposed to be Eighty Poles thence
East and across and down said Creek to a double Lynn
on the New Road thence in a direction with said
Road to the foot of the hill and Straight in the
direction to a hickory and beech both marked [H?]
on the South East line Between said Payne & [Rosens?] thence
[--pg. 453--] with Said line to the Begining Containing one hundred ten
Acres be the Same more or Less To Have and To Hold
The aforesaid Tract of Land together with all & singular
the Rights profits emoluments hereditaments & appurtenances
of in And to the Same belonging or in any wise
Appertaining to the Only proper use & benefit of him
The Said Elijah Holt his heirs & assigns forever & we the
Said Moses and Micajer Payne for ourselves our heirs
Exec. adm. & assigns do Covenant & agree to & with the
Said Elijah Holt his heirs & assigns that the before recited
Land and bargained premises we will Warrant & forever
defend against the right Title Claim Interest or demand
of all & Every person or manner of persons whatever
In Witness whareof we the said Moses & Micajer Payne
Hath hereunto set our hands & affixed our seals the day
and year first above written

Moses Payne for himself & Micajer Payne and
Ordered to be Certifyed for registration. Given under
my hand this 12th day of January 1820.
