Searcy of the county of Bedford and the State of Tennessee and Alexander McMickel, James McMichell and William McMichel of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Searcy for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath bargained granted and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto that said Alexander, James and William McMichels their heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in and being in the County of Bedford aforesaid on Noah's Fork of Duck River a part of a 5,000 acre tract of land granted by the State of North Carolina to John Gray and Thomas Blount by Grant No. 217. Beginning in Noah's fork on Mrs. Patton's South West corner of a small tract Thence North with her West boundary one hundred and thirty Poles to her North West Corner on an Iron Wood thence West with an old line of the Jones' tract ninety eight poles to an Elm at a branch, Walt? Elem's old place thence with R. Keel's line South one hundred and sixteen poles to said Keele's South East Corner on a small Sugar tree thence with his line West thirty six poles to William McMichels corner on a beech thence with his line South seventy eight poles to the middle of Noah's Fork at the crossing the Wagon Road and hence up the middel of Noah's fork with its Various Meanders (viz) South 70 degrees East 42 poles South 75 degrees East 24 poles North 65 degrees East 16 poles North 20 degrees East 34 poles North 70 degrees East 18 poles to the beginning, containing by calculation one hundred and fifteen acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of Land with all and singular the Rights Profits Emoluments hereditaments and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any way appertaining to the only Proper use benefit and behoof of them the said Alexander McMichel, James McMichel and William McMichel their heirs and assigns Forever and I the said Orville H. Searcy for my self my heirs, Executors administrators or assigns do Covenant agree to and with the said Alexander, James and William McMichel their heirs and assigns that the before Recited land and bargained premises I will Warrant and forever defend against the right title Claim in trust or demand of all and every person or manner of persons whatever.
