Sharp Deed 80 acres I William Sharp have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Robert M. Sharp and his heirs forever, for the consideration of one thousand dollars to me paid all my interest in a Tract or parcel of land, bounded as follows (Viz) Beginning on a Rock George Shaws North west corner in the line of the Tract of land I now live on Running East 58 pole to three small Beeches on the West bank of the Garrison fork of Duck River, thence up with the meanders of said River to the mouth of the first branch running in on the West side of sd river, Thence North 59 poles to Thomas Kindals corner, the same course till it strikes the North boundary of Grant No. 217 to a sugar tree, Thence West with Smith Carney’s line to a beech, thence with sd Carney’s line running North 56 poles to a beech, sd Carneys Corner, thence West 19 22/25 poles to a Lynn thence North 9 poles to a stake in Smith Carney’s line in the middle of the Garrison fork meeting house road, leading from Puncheon Camp, thence running South of West with the centre of said road to a stake, thence South with the East boundary line of the Tract of land I now live on about 195 poles to the Beginning Containing eighty acres be the same more or less, in District No. 1 in Bedford County Tennessee. To have and To hold the same to the said Robert M. Sharp his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said Robert M. Sharp that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs & assigns and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the sd Robert M. Sharp his heirs & assigns forever, against the lawfull[sic] claims of all persons whatever, this 17th day of June 1842. Executed and delivered in our presence Attest John Bell Wm Sharp (seal) W. D. Morton State of Tennessee|| Personally appeared before me Robert Hurst Clerk of the Bedford County || County Court of said County, Wm Sharp the within named bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained.
