Sharp DAN@danstevensharp.us February 11, 2007, 5:44 pm District No. 1 Written: August 15, 1842 Recorded: August 17, 1842 Bedford County, Tennessee Deed Book LL, Page 437 William Sharp To Martin Hancock & Samuel Hancock Deed 317 Acres This indenture made this fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two, Between William Sharp of Bedford County State of Tennessee of the one part and Martin Hancock and Samuel Hancock of the County of Coffee and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for the sum of fifty four hundred Dollars in hand paid before the signing and sealing these presents, the said William Sharp hath bargained and sold unto the said Martin Hancock & Samuel Hancock a certain Tract or parcel of land lying and being in Bedford County on Scotts branch of Duck River District No. 1 Bounded as follows– Beginning on a rock in George Shaws West boundary line Running West one hundred and fifty four poles to a Rock R. C. C. P. Shaws South East corner, Thence North with sd Shaws line to a Rock in Wm Keeles South boundary line three hundred and twenty poles said Shaws North East Corner, thence north of East one hundred and fifty five poles to a stake in the West boundary line of a twenty acre Tract bought by sd Sharp of Wm Keele, Thence South three hundred and twenty poles to the Beginning Containing three hundred and seventeen acres be the same more or less. And the said William Sharp for himself his heirs and assigns doth warrant and forever Defend the above bargained premises to the said Martin Hancock and the said Samuel Hancock, their heirs and assigns forever, against the lawfull[sic] claims of all manner of persons whatever. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, the day and date above written, Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of us. John Bell Wm Sharp (seal) W. H.
