Sharp DAN@danstevensharp.us February 10, 2007, 9:49 pm Written: March 26, 1836 Recorded: April 6, 1839 Bedford County, Tennessee Deed Book HH, pages 391-392 William Sharp to James McGuire Deed 100 This Indenture made this 26th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six Between William Sharpe of the County of Bedford & State of Tennessee of the one part and James McGuire of the County of Cannon & State aforesd of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William Sharpe for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof I doth hereby acknowledge hath Granted, bargained, sold, and confirmed, and by these presents doth Grant, bargain, sell, alien, and confirm, unto the said Jas McGuire, his heirs and assigns forever, all that Tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Bedford and state aforesaid lying on the waters of Scotts branch, the waters of Duck River, Beginning on two sugar trees on the top of the hill James Morrows North west corner and on the top of a ridge running thence, North sixty tow west Eighty four poles to a dogwood and sugar tree on the top of sd ridge, thence South 83 West Eighty four poles to a sugar tree and Lynn, Growing from the same root, thence South 60° West sixty poles to two sugar trees, thence North 12° Degrees East 70° poles to a hickory and beach, Thence North 42 West 44 poles to a Lynn and dogwood, thence North 37 East sixteen poles to two hickorys[sic], thence South 66° East 84 poles to a small dogwood sprout with a white walnut pointer on the hill side above John Lowery’s, thence South West a cross the ridge to a Chesnut[sic] near Polly McGuires North Corner of the field, thence South East to a Chesnut[sic] Oak on the point of the ridge, thence North seventy seven Degrees East to a beach, thence East 22 poles to a dogwood, thence South 74 degrees East 14 poles to a beach, thence South South East 81 degrees twenty six poles to a sugar tree at or near the road in the hollow, thence South 31° East 15 poles to a dogwood near the head of the lane, thence East to a Beach on James Morrows West boundary line, thence South with said line 81 poles to the beginning Corner. One hundred acres be the same more or less. Together with all and Singular hereditaments and appertainences[sic] and all the Estate, right Title and interest, property, claims, and demands of the said William Sharpe of in and to the same, To have & to hold the land hereby conveyed with all and Singular the premises, and every part and parcel thereof, with every of the appurtenances, and of assigns forever. And the said William Sharpe, for his heirs Executors and Administrators, do Covenant promise and agree to and with the said James McGuire his heirs and assigns by these presents, that the premises before mentioned now are and forever hereafter, shall remain free of and from all former and other Gifts, Grants, bargains, Sales, dowers rights and titles or Dowers Judgments, Executions, titles troubles, charges and incumbrances[sic] whatsoever done or suffered to be done by me the sd Wm Sharpe and the said William Sharpe and his heirs all and Singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the sd Jas McGuire his heirs and assigns against him the said William Sharpe and his heirs and al and every Other persons or persons whatsoever doth and will warrant and forever defend by these presents—In Witness whereof I the said William Sharpe set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
