Thompson, Deed 35 Acres This indenture is made the 15th of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four between Isaac Splawn of the County of Bedford and State of Tennessee of the one part and John F. Thompson, of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Isaac Splawn for and in consideration of the Sum of four hundred and twenty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Given, Granted, Bargained, Sold and Conveyed and by these presents doth Grant, Convey and Confirm, unto said John F. Thompson his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County of Bedford on South side of Duck River the same being part of a fifty acre tract Granted to Edward Wade by Grant No. 3380 dated the 8th day of August 1808. Beginning at a beach and dogwood running East thirty poles to a beach on the River Bank the beginning corner of said fifty acre Tract, thence down the Various Meanders of the River to an Elm Marked, thence South, containing by Estimation thirty five acres, be the same more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid land and bargained premises with all and Singular the rights, profits, Emoluments, hereditaments and Appurtenances of in and to the same belonging in any way wise appertaining to the only proper use of him the said John F. Thompson, his heirs and assigns that he will warrant and forever defend the said premises against the lawful claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatever.
