Thompson Thompson Bond to Azriah Thompson 
<Note: the "pson" end of the first name "Thompson" in "Thompson Thompson"
is smeared as if the clerk might have tried to change it to "Thomas", but
no "as" is written in, only the "pson" is smeared.>

Know all men by these presents that I, Thomas Thompson of the County of
Bedford and State of Tennessee are held and firmly bonded unto Azariah
Thompson in the Sum of One Thousand dollars to be paid to the Said Azariah
Thompson or his Certain Attorney, his Executors Administrators or assigns
to Which payment Will and Truly be made. I Bind Myself My heirs Executors
and administrators firmly By these presents Sealed With My Seal This Second
day of February 1818. <a line is drawn from here to the end of the line -
the kind you do at paragraph ends to prevent later insertions>
The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that Whereas the above bonded
Thomas Thompson hath agreed to Convey or Cause to be Conveyed Clean of all
encumbrances of himself, His Heirs Executors and administrators the Tract
of Land Whereon he now lives to Which this is annexed Together With all and
Singular appurtenances on and in any wise appertaining to the only Proper
use of him the Said Azariah Thompson his heirs or Assigns forever from and
after the Death of the Said Thomas Thompson and Shall also permit and
suffer the Said Azariah Thompson Peasably <sic> and Quietly to <illegible,
might be receive> and take To his Own use the rents and Profits of the said
Premises With the Exception of Such Part of the Profits as Will be
Sufficient to Maintain the said Thomas Thompson and family his Natural Life
Time & then the said Azariah Thompson his heirs or Assigns to have full and
Peasable <sic> possession forever Without Acts or Molestations at Law of
Otherwise Then the above Obligation to be Void otherwise to Remain in full
force and Virtue.

State of Tennessee, Bedford County} July Term 1819. I James McKissick Clerk
of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions of the County aforesaid do
hereby Certify that the Execution of the Within Bond from Thomas Thompson
to Azariah Thompson Was Proven in open Court by the Oaths of John Thompson
& Thomas F. Thompson the Subscribing Witnesses thereto and ordered to be
certified for Registration. Given under My Hand at Office this 10th day of
July 1919
