His name is on the 1832 list and in the 1840 Census. He was born about 1761. He served in Captain Robert Gillespie's company, North Carolina troops. Note: He was in the Tennessee country by 1783 as his name is on the Greene County Tax list in that year. He moved from Greene County to what was then West Tennessee, where he died in 1842. He is buried in Mount Moriah Church Cemetery, between Shelbyville and Wartrace, Tennessee. He married Eleanor Marbrey. Their son, John Moore married Nancy Yell.
