BEDFORD COUNTY, TN - VITALS - Marriage, John R. Fletcher to Alice L. Sandidge --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- From THE ATHENS POST (Athens, Limestone Co, AL ) - September 26, 1873 MARRIED. FLETCHER - SANDIDGE -- On Wednesday, the 17th inst., at Beechwood, Bedford county, Tenn, by Rev. Dr. WARDLOW, of Shelbyville, Dr. JOHN R. FLETCHER, of this place, to Miss ALICE L. SANDIDGE, of Bedford Co., Tenn. That our good friend the Doctor could not always stand the terrible onslaught of the love god, Cupid, we have long since predicted, and now one of his barbed arrows has been true to the aim, and in finding a lodgment has caused him to surrender the citadel of his heart, and while we believe he will live to bless the moment which gave him his wound, we crowd up to the front rank to offer our warmest congratu- lations. The choice of our friend is said by those who know her well, to possess the most lovely and ennobling traits of character and which bind her in ties of endearment to hosts of friends. We wish them, as they live on in the light of each others love, all the bliss and joy their happy union can bestow, and "May their days be like summer flowers, That wither not at noontides beam, May their lives glide sweetly onward, Happy as the poet's dream." ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
