ALMON CANNON'S WILL Recorded in Bedford County, Tennessee Will Book II, page 3 Knowing the uncertainity of life and feeling that death may come at any time, I wish to make this my last will and testament. I, Almon Cannon, and my two sons, John L. Cannon and Zacariah T. Cannon own in common as deed will show, two hundred and twenty six acres of land in 23rd civil district of Bedford County, Tennessee on which we now reside. Now in consideration of the love and respect I have for my wife, Eleanor Cannon, I will and bequeath to her all my right, title and claim that I have in said land her lifetime provided she outlives me. I also will and bequeath to the said Eleanor Cannon one third of all the personal property that may be on hand at my death, one third as above being considered my share in said personal property conditioned that the said Eleanor Cannon outlives me as before stated as to real estate and furthermore I will and bequeath my sons, John L. Cannon and Zacariah T. Cannon aforesaid after my wife Eleanor Cannon's death, if they should outlive her, all of the said real estate interest bequeathed to her to be equally divided between them. I have still other children that I wish to remember in my last will and testament, to wit: Rachel E. Prince, William W. Cannon, Jane Cannon, Samuel S. Cannon, James J. Cannon, Nancy M. Cannon, Wiley G. Cannon, and Minnie F. Reed. Now I will and bequeath to said eight children last named the sum of five dollars each to be paid by my sons, John L. Cannon and Zacariah T. Cannon after the death of Eleanor Cannon, their mother. Now Rachel E. Price (sic) and William W. Cannon are dead, and as to them the five dollars will be paid pro rata to their children.
