BLOUNT COUNTY, TN - COURT - Selected Court Records ----¤¤¤---- #125 6 MAY 1844 An inventory of the estate of Abraham LAW deceased was turned to court by Phillip DAVIS, Administrator, confirmed and ordered to be recorded. #98 1844 Abraham LAW deed administration of all and singular the goods and chattle of Abraham LAW, deceased were granted to Phillip DAVIS whereupon the said Phillip DAVIS entered into bond with approved security and was qualified according to law and ordered that letters of administration issue which is done accordingly. #127 William MACKEY, deceased In the matter of application of Nancy MACKEY widow of William MACKEY, deceased for the benefit of certain acts of Congress passed in relation to revolutionary Pension Claims. Came the said Nancy MACKEY into open court and made oath to her declaration that she is widow of said William MACKEY deceased and there upon came William DEAVER and Alex B. GAMBLE into open court who upon their oaths do say that they are personally aquainted with the said Nancy MACKEY and they believe her to be the widow of William MACKEY. And the court do declare in their opinion after investigation of the matter that said Nancy MACKEY is entitled to the benefit of the Acts of Congress asked for and the court further certifies that the above affaints are persons of intelligence and veracity. 5 Nov 1849 Came Elizabeth FARR formerly Elizabeth Shaver and Mary B. SHAVER into open court and made choice of S. J. McREYNOLDS, Esq. As their guardian and on motion the court appointed said S. J. McREYNOLDS, Esq. Guardian for Margaret B. SHAVER and Alexander H. SHAVER where upon he entered into bond with approved security for the faithful performance of said guardianship. 3 June 1850 On petition of William R. FLINN citizen of Blount County it was ordered that the following men, citizens of Blount County be appointed a jury to view and determine the proprioty of changing a road of the ? from the Baptist Meeting house in Millers Cove to George AMMONS Mill.
