She was born Dec. 22, 1763. James Weir enlisted in the Army of the Revolution in Washington County, Va., and was in the Battle of King's Mountain under Capt. Edmondson and in the battle of Guilford Court House. She married James Weir in Augusta Co., Va., Feb. 19, 1783. James Weir died March 11, 1820. The original Bible pages are with the application giving the children's names as follows: Aany, born 1784, also spelled Anna, married September 6, 1803; Hugh born 1786 married Peggy ______ Dec. 18, 1810: John S., born 1787; William, born 1790; Betsy, born 1795; James Preston, born 1797: Patsey born 1799; and Lusina Porter Weir, born Jan. 21, 18?(paper torn). NOTE:-Margaret Weir, widow of James Weir, was the daughter of John Sharp. She died in September, 1848. The daughter, Anna Weir, married James Berry.
