BLOUNT COUNTY, TN - WILLS - Thomas Cooper, 31 Jul 1802 ----¤¤¤---- Will Book ? page 24 In the name of God, Amen. State of Tennessee Blount County July 31st one thousand eight hundred and two. I, Thomas Cooper being in perfect mind and memory and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament and as to what worldly estate when with God hath blessed me in this life, I give devise and dispose of in the manner and form following, viz:IN the first place I bequeath Abby beloved wife my bay mare with all my household furniture to be at her disposal except the bed and furniture which my daughter Polly claims which I allow to her together with my young sorrel mare and her saddle and in case that she marry, it's my will that she should have two cows, and in regard to the land upon which I now live, I leave it amongst my four sons unto my son James Cooper I bequeath the southeast and of my plantation beginning at George Quibers from there down the channel of the dry branch opposite to Robert Cooper's line, then a straight line to Robert Cooper's line to the Knobs where it sweeps the old line then with the said line to the beginning the part that get remains I allow to be equally divided between my three sons William Cooper, John Cooper David Cooper with all my other horses cows and farming utensils not already mentioned to be for the use of my family and ____ which I allow my wife to have a living while she remains single. I also allow my two daughters Nancy Cooper and Abby Cooper to be sufficiently schooled off my whole estate and when they come to the years of maturity I allow William Cooper John Cooper and David Cooper to furnish each of them with a good horse and saddle. Likewise I allow my son Thomas Cooper one dollar. Also I bequeath too my son Robert Cooper one dollar. I likewise constitute make and ordain Thomas Cooper Robert Cooper and James Cooper my only and sole executors of this my last will disannulling all other former wills and testaments in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year above written.
