Ed Richardson also in the accident was not seriously hurt. Wright and Hunley were dead when eyewitnesses of the accident righted the auto. Hunley had beer pitched several feet from the car Wright was still in the car. Pickle was rushed to a Knoxville hospital where it is said he is still in serious condition with small chance of his recovery. Witnesses state that the car, a Ford Coach was traveling about fifty miles an hour. No cause for hitting the culvert was given. The driver of the car was said to have been Pickle. The bodies of Wright and Hunley were taken to the Minton Sharp Funeral Parlors where they were prepared for burial. Pickle is married and has a family. He is a superintendent of the Rex-Jellico mines. Wright was a meat cutter in a local grocery store. Hunley was unemployed and lived with his mother, Mrs. Rhoda Hunley in Highland Park. Wright was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wright of Furancetown. He is survived by his parents, five sisters, Mrs. Charles Russell, Mrs. Joe Prater, Mary, Ida, and Pearl, and one brother Dudley. Funeral services were conducted from the homes, that of Hunley at 1:00 o'clock Monday afternoon the Rev. J.E. Lowry in charge of the service and Rev. J.L Seale having the services fro Hunley at 2:30 p.m. Burial followed. Rufus McNeily Rufus McNeily, age 92, died at his home on College Hill, Monday from pneumonia. He had only been ill one week. The funeral was conducted at the home by Rev. Joe Newport, Tuesday morning with burial at the Pond Cemetery. He is survived by several sons and a host of friends. Lafayette Jones J.L. Jones was born October 3, 1862 in Whitley County, Kentucky, died January 26, 1933. He was married to Mary Hampton March 8, 1891. To this union seven children were born, five of which survive. They are Mrs. Joe Nelson of LaFollette, Mrs. W.S. Ridenour of Lovston, Walter Jones of Sapulpa Okla., Herman Jones who lives at home, and Mrs. Chas. Braden of Fincastle. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Ballard and Rev. W.A. Sharp. Card of Thanks We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many friends of out dear son and brother for their thoughtful deeds and sympathy shown us in his death. Also for the beautiful floral offerings. Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Wright and Family William Perkins William Perkins, age about 70, died Wednesday, February 1, at his home in Elk Valley. Mr. Perkins was a prominent citizen of that section of the county and well known thru-out this section of Tennessee. Funeral services will be held today at one o'clock and burial will follow probably in the Baird Cemetery, although the exact place could not be ascertained. He is survived by two brothers, P.C. Perkins, father of Charlie Perkins of LaFollette, and James Perkins, four sisters, Mrs. Etta Baker, Mrs. Martha Powell, Mrs. Margaret Lay and Mrs. Blanch Peace, on son Leonard and one daughter, Mrs. Martha Ayers. Curtis Richardson Curtis Richardson was born October 7th, 1901, died January 22nd, 1933. He was the son of Tom Richardson and Mary Jane Richardson. He has two sisters Mrs. Cora Jones and Mrs. Cordie Cooper, both of Jacksboro. He has one half-brother Carl Richardson. He entered the service of his country on December 21st, 1919, discharged August 11th, 1921. He was married to Miss Lillian Keys, on April 5, 1922. To this union two children were born, James V. and Carl Eugene. He professed faith in Jesus Christ and joined the Mount Zion Church several years ago. He continued a member of that church until recently when he moved his membership to the First M.E. Church, South, Caryville. He leaves to mourn his home-going, his father, sisters, half-brother, uncles, aunts, his dear wife, children and a host of friends, together with hundreds of his comrades. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ballard, Rev. Spessard and Rev. Wright. Henderson Hobart Hunley Henderson Hobart Hunley was born October 20, 1902, died January 28, 1933. He was thirty years, three months and seven days old. He was raised in the church and Sunday school and attended regularly until the last few years. Since that time he has spent most the time at home with his widowed mother. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Rhoda Hunley, three half sisters, Mrs. Mattie Monroe of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Lizzie Lumpkins of Los Angeles and Mrs. James Hunter of St. Louis, on half brother Mylt Hunley of Chattanooga, two uncles, J.D. Dossett of Knoxville and T.D. Dossett of Jacksboro, three aunts, Mrs. Eliza Wood, Kitty and Flora Dossett, also a number of cousins.
