JALIE PARKS MOSES Mrs. Jalie Parks Moses, 85, of Jellico, died at her home at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 21. She was a member of the Jellico Church of God Mountain Assembly. She is survived by two sons, the Rev. Ira Moses of Jellico and Alonzo Moses of Burbank, California; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Widener and Mrs. Pernia Wilson, both of Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Orpha Price of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Litton and Mrs. Rosa Enix, both of Jellico; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday at Jellico Church of God Mountain Assembly, Jellico, by the Rev. Ira Moses, the Rev. Luther Gibson and the Rev. John E. Hatfield. Burial was in Jellico Cemetery. Ellison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Funeral s Additional Comments: Jalie Parks Moses was born 17 Nov 1866, the d/o John Hansford and Rachel Thomas Parks. They preceded her in death. Her funeral was held 24 Jan 1972 with burial following service. Jalie was the w/o William Elliott Moses, s/o of Pleasant and Nancy Catherine "Nan" Moses of Pleasant View, Kentucky. William (Called Will or Long Will) was b. 30 October 1879 and d. 09 Feb 1962 at his home in Jellico. He had been a coal miner. William's funeral service was held 13 Feb 1962 at the Jellico Church of God, with the Rev. Luther Gibson and the Rev. Glenn Rowe officiating. Ellison Funeral Home in charge. He was buried 13 Feb 1962 at Jellico Cemetery. William and Jalie had both been preceded in death by a son, Virgil, 31 Jan 1929 at age 14. Virgil had been b. 06 Aug 1914.
