MIDDLESBORO 

Mrs. Ada Gibson Murray, 81 died Saturday Dec. 12 1987 at Middlesboro 

Appalachian Regioal Hospital 

A navtive of Claiborne County Tenn she was born April 9 1906 the daughter of 

the late John Gibson and Nancy Lambdin Gibson She was a member of Miller Chapel 

Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Elmo Murray and a brother and a 

sister

Survivors include a son Marvin Murray Florence Ky three daughters Mrs. Charles 

(Marie) Schooler and Mrs. Wayne (Mae) King both of Middlesboro and Mable Marlow 

Lafollette Tennessee She also raised as daughters and is survived by Mrs. 

Geraldine Lamb and Sherry Givens of Middlesboro Three brothers Oscar Gibson and 

Ned King both of Frakes and Jimmy King Dayton Ohio also survive as do sisters 

Nanny Partin Williamsburg Ky Emily Partin Clairfield Tenn 23 grandchildren 28 

great grandchildren and nine great great grand children. Service will be at 2 p 

m Tues at Shumate Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Lambdin and the Rev Ellis 

Hoskins officiating. Burial will be in the George Partin Cemetery at Frakes. 

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is from 7 pm to 9 pm today at Shumate Funeral Home which is in 

charge of arrangements.
