He migrated from Buncombe Co., NC in the 1790's to Grainger Co. I believe he resided in the area which became Anderson Co., and then Campbell Co. as I find him in records of all three counties and doubt that he actually kept moving. 1828 will of Joshua INGLISH husband of Sarah(?) Sarah INGLISH BOUCHER wife of Elisha BOUCHER James INGLISH Hannah INGLISH MAY wife of Reynolds MAY male INGLISH (possibly John INGLISH) male INGLISH Will of Joshua Inglish Campbell Co, TN: in the Name of God Amen, I Joshua Inglish of the County of Campbell and State of Tennessee this day being in very low state of health but perfectly sound as to mind and memory wishing to settle my family concerns that I may die thankful and satisfied. First of all resign my body to the ground and my soul to God who gave it and will and bequeath my Estate as followeth first that all my last debts may be paid out of the same My negrow man named Anthony I will that he may serve his mistress my wife Sarah Inglish during her life and at her death he may be emancipated and have his perfect freedom and that my wife Sarah Inglish have her choice of the cattle 2 cows and one bed and furniture and all the household furnitre except one bed and furniture and I give and bequeath to my son Joshua Inglish my old bay mare called Poll and I also give and bequeath unto James Inglish my young sorrel mare and I give unto Elisha Butcher a young horse and a sorrel colt and that my coal bank over the mountain to the benefit Joshua Inglish James Inglish and Elisha Butcher and I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah May a certain young stud horse that Joshua Burton left with Runnals May years ago when he died and I also give and bequeath unto Euphraima Bruton one bed and some furniture and ten dollars money and I also give and bequeath unto Kessy Bruton hiers ten dollars out of my estate and I want two mares and the balance of the cattle and hogs to be sold and I also give and Thomas Inglish my son fifty dollars in silver and I also give and unto John Reynolds the benefit of an Entry that I have over the mountain except three acres around the coal bank by his pay Young what James Inglish was ( sic, owes) to the said Young and the balance of the money arising from the property to go to Elisha Butcher Joshua Inglish and James Inglish.
