CANNON COUNTY, TN - WILLS - Joseph Bogle, 18 Jan 1881 ----¤¤¤---- Cannon County Will Bk A, p.290-293 Joseph Bogle Last Will and Testament I Joseph Bogle do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking & making void all other wills by me at any time made. 1st my will and desire is that after my death that my funeral expenses & all of my just debts be paid out of the first money that may come into the hands of my Executor. 2 my will & desire is that the place I live on containing about one hundred & forty five acres be subject to be rented by my Executor from year to year and that my wife Sarah Bogle have a good support out of said rent during her life and if there is any remainder if the rents after her support if there is still debts out standing against my estate after such property is sold as I therin after direct then said money or rents is to be paid by my executor on said debts. I further will & desire that my Executor ___ the renting of the remaining lots of land No. 1,2,3 & 4 & that my heirs have the preference and that they take possession of their respective lots as I will here after described them but if they fail to pay to my Executor annual a reasonable rent for the purpose above mentioned then my Executor is to rent the lands to the best advantage to any other person. I further will and bequeath to my son J.Q. Bogle and his children the following described tract or lot of land to wit, beginning on a buckeye in J.M. Coopers west boundary line, thence North 1 3/4 degree East 34 poles & 17 links to a stake in the old road then N 31 degrees west 18 poles to a rock N Bryans corner then S 71 degrees W 11 P & __ links to a stake before the Spring, then S 27 degrees E ___ poles 13 links to ______________ of the _______ then E 10 P to a rock, thence 32 degrees E 11 P to a rock, then S 71 degrees W 6 P to a rock then S 17 degrees W 36 P to a stake in the road then South 29 degrees W 32 P to a stake in the old lower line, then South 9 P to a stake then South 34 1/2 E 24 P & 11 links to a rock then S 79 degrees E 51 P & 5 links to the beginning containing 31 acres & 74 P. I also bequeath to my son N.M. Bogle the following described tract or lot of land to wit Beginning at a stake & pointers in J.M. Coopers W boundary line, thence West 44 P to a read Hawbush thence N 46 degrees W 32 P to a black ash, then S 88 degrees W 63 1/3 P to a black locus then S with Duggins line 70 P to Duggins corner, then N 18 P to a rock & pointers then E 44 P to a Oak & Hickory, then N 22 degrees W 29 1/2 P to the beginning containing 41 3/4 acres including and Excluding 9 1/4 acres which he has a title. I also bequeath to S.A. Womack my Grand Daughter & wife of J.B. Womack the following described tract or parcel of land Beginning on a rock the South West corner of lot No. 3 then west 48 1/3 P to a black locus in A.B. Summers line East Boundary thence N to a Double chittom wood 7 P thence N 50 degrees W with A.B. Summers line 24 P to a fallen oak thence N 18 P to a stake then N 20 degrees W 6 P with the top of the Ridge to a stake then N 7 degrees E with the ridge 37 P to a rock & pointers W. A. Carters corner then S 87 degrees E with his line 27 P to a rock then S 74 degrees E 42 P to a stake Oak Pointers then S 75 degrees E 4 P to a rock in the North West corner of lot No. 3 then S 6 degrees W 68 P to the beginning containing 33 1/3 acres _______ that she have ___________________ to the Spring running East from here line I also bequeath to my daughter S.C. Cooper wife of Jahu Cooper & to the heirs of her body the following lot or parcel of land to wit Beginning on a horsehege in J.M. Coopers west boundary line thence S 1 3/4 W 65 P to a stake & pointers corner lot No. 2 thence West 44 P to a Read haw bush, thence N 46 degrees W 32 P to a black ash, thence west 15 P to a rock thence N 6 degrees E 68 P to a rock, thence west 15 P to a rock, thence N 6 degrees E 68 poles to a rock, thence South 75 E 24 P to a Hacklberry thence S 34 1/2 E 24 P & 11 links to a rock, thence S 79 degrees E 51 P to the beginning containing 40 acres. It is further my will and desire that my wife Sarah have the full control of 10 acres of the aboved described lot of land in a Square in the South west ___ of this lots and to have the right of way out on any part of my whole farm and that she have the right to get firewood ___ off any portion of the whole farm.This is to revert to my Daughter S.C. Cooper and her Children at the death of Sarah my wife. i further direct that my Executor C.B. Odom lay off 5 acres each to my 2 Grand daughters Adah Bogle & Mary Gillig provided Adah Stays with her Grand mother Sarah Bogle until She is 21 years of age said 10 acres be laid out of lot No. 3 as described above at the disgresion of my Executor C. B. Odom, I further bequeath to my son J.Y. Bogle and his children 100 acres of land beginning the 7th district of this County Cannon bounded on the North by C Taylor South by H Young West by same tract East R Bo____ him________ any rents to which is to be layed off of the East End of said tract. I further that my Executor C.B. Odom have full power to sell the remainder of the tract wither publicly or __________ and make title to the same without any decree of court whatever. I further will & direct when Ciscero Womack becomes of age that he have the Iron Gray colt provided he works his time out which is the last of next March.
