Grizzle Last Will and Testament: Know all men by these present that William Grizzle of Gassaway, Cannon County, State of Tennessee, being in bad health but of sound and disposing mind and of memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament thereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made, and as to my worldly estate and all the paroperty, real and personal or mixed of which I shall die siezed and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease. I divise, bequeath, and dispose there of in the manner following, to wit: First - My will is that all my just and honest debts and funeral expenses shall by my executors herein after named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall, by then be found convenient. Second - I give divise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Eliza Grizzle, all my house hold furniture and all my personal property of all descriptions, also, give to her the use and improvement and income of my horses and lands that I may possess to have and to hold the same to her for and during the term of her natural life. Third - I give and bequeath to my daughter, Bonnie Grizzle, wife of J.W. Saddler. Five hundred dollars. Fourth - I bequeath to my daughter, Margaret Grizzle, wife of Albert Anderson, Five hundred dollars. Fifth - I bequeath to my daughter Martha Grizzle, wife of Marshall Turney, Five hundred dollars. Sixth - I bequeath to my daughter, Alice Grizzle, wife of A.J. Turney, Five hundred dollars. Seventh - I give and devise and bequeath to my two sons, J.B. Grizzle and George Grizzle after the decease of my beloved wife, Eliza Grizzle, all my houses and lands which I may possess to have and to hold the same to them. ___ said James B. and George G. Grizzle their heirs and assigns from and after the decease of my said wife for their use and ____ forever. Eighth - If there be anything left after paying my said daughters and expenses after the decease of my said wife, of personal property, I give devise, and bequeath to be equally divided between and among my said children. Ninth - Should any of my children go to ?___ over my estate, the one so doing shall not have anything, his or her part shall be equally divided among the other children. Tenth - And lastly, I do nominate and appoint my said sons, James B. and George G. Grizzle to be the executors of this my last will and testament for testimony where of I the said William Grizzle, have to htis my last will and testament subscribed my name and affixed my seal the the twelfth day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Nine. Signed, sealed, and published and declared by the said Willliam Grizzle as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. James Kidwell Carl Bass State of Tennessee: County Court August term 1910. This day came into open court G.G. and J.B. Grizzle and suggests the death of W.M. Grizzle, which was admitted and presented for probate the within paper - writing purporting to be the last will and testament of W.M. Grizzle, dec'd; and at the same time came Carl Bass and JH. Kidwell subscribing witnesses to said paper-writing and who after being duly sworn, disposed and said they were personally acquainted with the Testator during his natrual life and that he signed the same in their presence to be his last will and testament. That they became subscribing witnesses at the instace of the testator and signed as such in his presence and in the presence of each other. Whereinfor the Court was pleased to order the said paper-writing be admitted to probate as the last will and testament of W.M. Grizzle dec'd; and that Letters, Testamentary issue and the Executors therein named be qualified and the same made of record the the clerk. Witness my hand at office in Woodbury. Aug 1st 1910 B.F.
