Amos Saffle       	The Last Will and Testament of Amos Saffle
Last Will and  		Cannon County Tennessee August 23rd 1855
Testament		I, Amos Saffle being of sound mind and knowing the 
			uncertainty of life & the Certainty of Death make and 
			Publish this my last will & Testament to viz
First
It is my Will  after my deceased that my remains be decently buried and all of 
my personal Expenses be paid out of my Effects.
Second
It is my wish &  will that all of just Debts be paid off in full out of my 
Effects
Third
I give & bequeath to my beloved Wife, Ann a good Bead Beadstead and furniture 
and that my son Milas Saffle & Daughter Martha Hollis are requested & I Enjoin 
it upon them both to see to & have a good suficient Comfortable Support given 
to her out of my Effects which I shall disperse of as follows
Fourth
I give & Bequeath to my son Milas Saffle one half of the  Tract of Land 
East End upon which I now reside. Except a log house  in my yard which is his 
House as he Built it upon his own Expenses.
Fifth  
I give Bequeath the remaining half of said Tract of Land to my Daughter 
Martha Hollis    will  that said Tract of Land be divided  with a  North  & 
South line & When divided  I will it to be divided by five Disinterested men 
Chosen & agreed upon By the above named Heirs &  valued by them & Heir getting 
the most valuable portion of land shall pay over to the other Heir the 
Difference in valuation to make	both Equals,   
Sixth(?) 
it is my will that all the remaining portion of my property of Every notion be 
sold to the highest	Bidder as the  law directs  and the money occurring
from the sale of the same together with all other moneys on hands as owing to 
me be collected and the  whole amount be Equally divided between my two Heirs 
namely Milas Saffle & Martha Hollice.  
Seventh   
It is my will that my son Milas Saffle Be Executor to Execute this my last 
will & Testament Whereunto I have set my hand in in the presence of the  
Subscribing Witnesses
Day & Date above Made
