CANNON COUNTY, TN - WILLS - Edmund Walls, 4 Feb 1848 ----¤¤¤---- Cannon Co. will Book A,P. 49 & 50 Edmund Walls to Last Will & Testament Be it know to all these present may concern that I Edmund Walls have this day made this last will and testament it being the fourth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight the same being as follows. First I will my body to the earth from which it was taken and my spirit to God who gave it. Be it know that it is my will and I do hereby bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Walls all my land that I am possessed of with the ?????? and appliances thereto during her life or widow hood. I also bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Walls one sorrel mare with a blue face and one boy filly and all my stock of cattle hogs sheep for the same term above mentioned and also all my stock of bees and all my household and kitchen furniture and fowls and also my cart and oxen for the same term for her benefit and to raise my children. And Be it known furthermore that at the expiration of the widowhood of my beloved wife Elizabeth Walls that it is my will and wish that all the above named land and property to be equally divided between and among my four beloved daughters namely Martha Walls, Nancy E. Walls, Lucy Ann Walls, and Jane Walls. Or be sold and the proceeds be equally divided between my daughters above mentioned with the exception of Four dollars and fifty cents to Catherine Conley the wife of James Conley and also of the proceed of the above mentioned land and property it is my will and wish that my son Henry T. Walls have two dollars and fifty cents and my son David Walls have two dollars and fifty cents and my son Edmund J. Walls have two dollars & fifty cents. Then the proceeds of the above mentioned land and property it is my will and wish that the remainder be equally divided between and among my four daughters first named there will be Martha Walls, Nancy E. Walls, Lucy Ann Walls, and Jane Walls. It is my will and wish after my decease that my Sorrel horse and my sorrel filly and my gray colt be sold and my just debts paid with the proceeds of the same.
