                 Pritchard Family Cemetery

Located on the borders of Carroll and Henderson Counties.  Six family
members visited the cemetery in October to clean up and assess the cemetery
for repairs.  The cemetery sits on a ridge in the middle of a pasture
currently owned by Donald Rush, a descendant of Thomas and Susan Pritchard
Kee who are buried in the cemetery.  Plans are to erect a fence around the
cemetery and to also contact the county road commission as to needed repairs
on the road leading to the cemetery.  We spoke with Donald on the day we
were there and he noted that the last burial in the cemetery was some 50
years ago, a negro family obtained permission from the family to bury one of
their kin there.  The gravesite of this man is unmarked.  The relation with
the family has not been determined if any.  The cemetery is surrounded by
tall trees and we did find a few rose bushes.  Several of the headstones are
broken and we plan to repair as soon as the fence is erected.  The graves
are severely sunken and need to be filled.  There is evidence of graves
other than those noted below, but they have no markers.  It is also believed
that the progenator of this family may be buried here but we have no proof.
