This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb by Jenny Penick Garner ===================================================================== Gordon Browning Museum, McKenzie, Tennessee Carroll County Tennessee Deeds, M:702 Deed of Spencer Bomer to George Glover This indenture made and entered into between Spencer Bomer of the County of Weakly, Tenn. of the one part and George Glover of the Cty of Carroll Tenn. of the other, witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of Three hundred and Eighteen dollars and 75 cts to him in hand paid the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and by these presents doth bargain sell and convey to the aforesaid George Glover his heirs assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land in the County of Carroll and State of Tenn. & in Civil District No. 3rd being a part of a tract conveyed to heirs the afforesaid Spencer Bomer by Shelb Loving as Admr. Of the Estate of James W. Crawford Decd. And bounded as follows (to wit) Begining on a stake the sd Glovers south west corner and the So East corner of said tract conveyed to Bomar by Loving ___ on E Gwinns north boundary line and runs north with Glovers West boundary line one hundred & ninety six poles to a stake 2 Red Oak & dogwood pointers thence West Twenty nine poles to a Hickory 2 Hickory and Poplar pointers thence north Forty five poles to a stake 3 white oak pointers thence West Ten & one fourth poles to a Stake 2 post oaks Spanish oak & Hickory pointers thence South Two hundred and forty one poles to a stake 2 Poplar & oak pointers on Guinns north boundary line thence Est thirty nine & one fourth poles to the begining being a part of the tract conveyed to Bomar by Loving Admr & a small part of the tract conveyed to Bomar by Wm. W. Dudley to have and to hold to him the aforesaid Glover his heirs and assigns forever I the said Spencer Bomer doth further covenant and agree with him the said Glover that I am lawfully seized of said land and have a good right to convey the same & that it is unencumbered and bind myself my heirs & representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the aforesaid tract of land with all and singular the appertainances thereunto belonging to him the aforesaid George Glover his heirs an assigns against the lawful claim as claims of all as any person whatever in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this 4th day of March 1858.
