Burns of the first part Jos R. McDonald of the other Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of nine hundred Dollars to me in hand paid the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged I the aforesaid E. T. Burns hath this day bargained and Sold to the aforesaid Jos. R. McDonald a certain tract or parcel of land Lying and being in County of Carroll and State of Tenn. And in Civil Dist. No. 3rd being the tract conveyed to me by H. A. Moore and Bounded as follows, to wit., Beginning on a Stake with pointers John T. Fuqua's N & West corner on Plum Creek and runs East one hundred and Eleven poles to a Small Ellum 2 post Oaks & Dogwood pts In J. R. McDonalds South West corner thence north (138) poles to a Stake in an Old field on Simpson Garrett's South line thence West (69) poles to a Stake in plum Creek Red oak mulberry Hickory & poplar pointers thence down Said Creek with its meanders to the beginning containing in all seventy five acres to have and to hold the above described tract of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Joseph R. McDonald his heirs or assigns forever I do further convenant with him the aforesaid Jos R. McDonald that I am lawfully seized of said land and has a good right to convey the Same and that it is unencumbered Binds myself my heirs Executors or Adams to warrant and forever defend the title to the above described tract of land to him the aforesaid Jos R. McDonald his heirs or assigns against the lawful claim or claims of all or any persons whatever In Witness Whereof I hereunto Set my hand and affix my Seal this November the 24th 1869.
