Land: 12th Dis, Rng 3, Sec 4
This indenture made this 14th day of September in the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred & Twenty Six between Robt. Flemming of the County of
Carroll and state of Tennessee of the one part and Benjamin Roney of the county
& State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Robt. Flemming for
and in concideration of the sum of two hundred & forty dollars to him in hand
paid by the Said Benjamine Roney the recept whereof is here by acknowledged and
him self fully satisfied contented and paid hath Bargained sold alliened En
feoffed Conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant Bargain sell
Convey & confirm unto the Said Benjamin Roney his heirs Executors administrators
and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of Land cituated lying and being
in the county and state afore said in the 12th Survey on district Section 4 &
Range 3 Begining at a Rd oak the north west corner of an entery of 565 ½ acres
Enterd in the name of John & William Gwin Runs south one hundred & ninety four
poles to a Red oak thence East one hundred and ten poles to a stake thence north
Eighty poles to a stake thence East forty two poles to a stake thence north one
hundred and ten poles to a Red oak thence West one hundred and fifty poles two
poles to the Begining containing one hundred and sixty acres be the same more or
less to have and to hold the before Recited land and Bargained premises with all
and singular the rights proffits Emoluments hereditraments & appertainances off
in and to the same be longing to the only pro per use & behoof of him the said
Benjamin Roney his heirs and assigns for ever and the said Robert Fleming for
himself his heirs Executors and administrators doth covenant and agree to & with
the said Benjamin Roney his heirs or assigns that the before Recited Land and
Bargained premises He will warrant and forever defend against the Right title
Interest Claim or demand of all and con vey person or persons what ever for
witness where of the said Robt Flemming hath here un to set his hand and affix
his seal the the day and year first written.

The with in deed of Bargain and sale from Robert Flemming to Benjamine Roney for
one hun dred and sixty acres of Land was this day pro duced in open court and
the execution there of due ly acknowledged by the said Flemming to be his act &
deed for the purpose therein contained and ordered to be recorded. A copy Test.
