Gilbert of the County and State aforesaid have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey unto T. G. Gilbert and J. H. Gilbert of Carroll County Tenn their heirs assigns for ever for in the consideration of $360.00 Three hundred sixty dollars paid to me in hand the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged for my 1/3 interest in the following described land lying in the 3rd Civil district of Carroll County Tennessee bounded as follows to wit. Beginning on the South East corner of this division on a stake at Will McDonald's N.W. corner and N.E. corner of Johnson farm running West 41 poles to a stake thence south 4 poles to a stake thence west 55 "2" poles to a stake on Johnsons N.W. corner thence south 25 poles to a stake on Aden land thence West 27 poles to a stake on Baker farm thence North 138 poles to a stake on Garrett land thence East 82 [?] poles to a stake on N.W. corner of the W. C. Gilbert farm thence south 39 poles to a stake in the road thence west 36 poles with the road to a stake on N.W. corner of Mrs. Tessie Bridges dower thence south 49 1/3 poles with said dower to a stake on SW corner of same thence East with dower 77 poles to a stake in the road thence south 21 1/2 poles to the beginning containing 56 acres more or less I covenant with the said T. G. Gilbert and J.H. Gilbert that I am lawfully seized of said land and have a good and perfect title to the same and it wholly unincumbered I further covenant and bind myself my heirs and assigns to warrent and forever defend the title of said land against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever in witness whereof my hand and seal.
