Robert Boaz GORDON To William BENNETT

Know all men by these presents that I Robert B. GORDON of the County of 
Carroll and State of Tessessee for and in consideration of the sum of six 
hundred dollars to me in hand paid before the ensealing hereof by Willliam 
BENNETT of Henderson County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do 
hereby acknowledge have bargained sold and conveyed and hereby by these 
presents give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said William BENNETT his 
heirs and assigns forever the following subscribed tract parcel or lot of land 
situate in Carroll County and State aforesaid being a part of one thousand 
acre tract of land granted to Thomas DUNN in the twelth surveyors district in 
range four, section first Beginning at the north west corner of said tract, 
running East three hundred and ten poles to a hickory the northwest corner of 
locative interest, thence south one hundred and forty nine and a half poles to 
the beginning containing three hundred and twenty four acres to have and to 
hold the said granted and bargained premises together with all the priviledges 
and appurtenances thereunto belonging or otherwise appertaining to him the 
said William BENNETT his heirs and assigns forever; and furthermore I the said 
Robert B. GORDON for myself my heirs executors and administrators do hereby 
covenant in and with the said William BENNETT, his heirs and assigns that 
before and unto the ensealing hereof I am the true sole and lawful owner and 
possessor of the above granted bargained premises in fee simple that they are 
free from all incumberances and that he have full power and lawful authority 
to convey the same unto the said William BENNETT in manner aforesaid and will 
forever warrant and defend the same to him the said William BENNETT, his heirs 
and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons 
whomsoever
In testimony whereof I the said Robert B. GORDON have here unto set my hand 
and seal this 16th day of September in the year of our Lord 1833-
