This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Jenny Penick Garner ==================================================================== Carroll County, TN Deeds Grantor: Edward Gwin, Sr. Book B, Pg. 176 Grantee: Edward Gwin, Jr. Gordon Browning Museum, McKenzie, TN Date: 6 Oct 1826 Land: Locative Interest This indenture made and entered into this 6th day of October 1826 between Edward Gwin Senior of the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee of the one part and Edward Gwin, junior of the State and County aforesaid of the other part witnesseth That I the Said Edward Gwin Senior for and in consideration of the Sum of Four hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknolledge have bargained Aliened Sold conveyed and confirmed and by These presents doth bargain Alien Sell Convey and Confirm to Edward Gwin Junior all the right title Claim and intrest which I have either in law or Equity in and to my locative Intrest in and to a Six hundred and forty acre Land warrant granted by the secretary of State or by the State of North Carolina To John Curry and assigned to James Addams to have and to hold all and Sing ular the land or lands So Secured by or with my locative intrest as aforesaid makeing one hundred and Sixty acres of land be the Same more or less I also assign transfer convey and confirm unto him all the right title intrest and Claim that may be accrue to me in consequence of a bill or Suit now in the Carroll Circuit Court of Equity filed by me against Said James Addams Edward Busy & others for and concerning a part or moiety of the land aforesaid and that he take Have and receive all and Singular the benefit advantage and proceeds of Said Decree when made in as full and ample a manner as I myself could do and That Said decree be entered for and in his favors and that he the Said Edward Have keep enjoy and possess all and Singular the land when ever taken or Secured by the Said warrant as aforesaid in as full and ample a manner as I myself could do with all decrees judgements and awards of any Kind appertaing or belonging to the Same Free of me my heirs Executors administrators And assigns forever in testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Affixed my Seal this 6th day of October in the year of our lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Six.
