This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Jenny Penick Garner ==================================================================== Carroll County, TN Deeds Grantor: Edward Gwin Bk ?, Pg. 104 or 134 Grantee: Samuel Ingram Date: 13 Feb 1829 Land: Lot 13, Huntingdon This indenture made and entered into this Thirteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and twentynine between Edward Gwin of the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee of the one part and Sam uel Ingram of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the Said Edward Gwin for and in consideration of the Sum of two hund red and Sixteen dollars and fifty four cents to him in hand paid the ____ whereof he doth hereby acknolledg hath this day bargained Sold conveyed and conferred and by these presents doth bargain Sale convey and confir m unto Samuel Ingram his heirs and assigns forever all that parcel of ground Situate lying and being in the town of Huntingdon and Coun ty of Carroll adjoining the publick Square in Said Town Known in the Plan of Said town by Lot No. thirteen Situate as follows to wit, beginning on the east Side of the publick Square at the South west corner of main Street running east with Said Street Sixty five feet thence South forty nine and one half feet thence west Sixty five feet thence north with the line of the publick Square forty nine feet and one=half to the Beginning the lot or parcel of ground aforesaid with all and Singular the here determints in and to the same belonging to have and to hold ___ Said Samuel Ingram his heirs and assigns forever and the sd. Edward Gwin for himself his heirs and assigns with the said Samuel Ingram his heirs and assigns doth convenant and agree the title to the lot or parcel of ground aforesaid against the Claim or claims of all and evry person or persons whatsoever to warrant and forever to defend in Testimony whereof the Said Edward Gwin here unto Sets his hand and Seal the day and year first above written. Neely State of Tennessee March Term 1829 Carroll County Court The within deed of bargain and Sale from Edward Gwin to Samuel Ingram for a town lot in the town of Hunting don was this day produced in open court and the due execution there of duely acknolledged by the Said Edward Gwin to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained and ordered to be certified for Registration.
