Of the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee of the One part and Jones Rodgers of the County and state aforesaid of the other part-Witnesseth that the said Edward Gwin jr. for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred and fifty dollars, to him in hand paid by the said Jones Rodgers the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath and by these presents, doth give grant bargain Sell and Convey unto the said Jones Rodgers his heirs and assignes forever a certain tract or parcell of land Situate and being in the fourth Section of the fourth range on the Watters of Crooked Creek in Carroll County and state of Tennessee. Beginning on a chesnut 80 poles east of the north east Corner of entry No. 825 running thence north (100 poles) One hundred poles to a black oak with three Black Oak pointers thence east Eighty poles to a black oak with white oak and hickory pointers thence South one hundred poles to a Spanish oak, thence West Eighty poles to the beginning containing fifty acres to have and to hold the aforesaid bargained land and premises with all and Singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appert =aining thereto to the said Jones Rodgers his heirs executors Administrators and assignes forever, and the said Edward Gwin Jr for himself his heirs esecutors administrators and assignes doth Covenant and agree to and with the Said Jones Rodgers his heirs & that the before recited land and bargained premises with all and Singular the rights proffits immoluments, hereditaments appurtenances, of in and to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use benefits and behoof of him the said Jones Rogers his heirs s& he will warrant and forever defend against the right title claim interest and demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever.
