This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Jenny Penick Garner ==================================================================== Carroll County, TN Deeds Grantor: Alexander McRae Bk C Pg 94 Grantee: Edward Gwin Date: 24 Jun 1828 Land: Lot on Public Square Huntingdon, TN This Indenture made and entered into this twenty fourth day of June of the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between Alexander McRae of The County of Carroll and State of Tennessee of the one part and Edward Gwin of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth That the Said Aleander McRae for and in consideration of the Sum of two hun dred and Sixteen dollars and fifty four cents to him in hand paid the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath this day bargained Sold Conveyed and Confirmed and by These presents doth bargain Sell convey and confirm unto Edward Gwin His heirs and assigns for ever all that lot and Parcel of ground Situate lying and being In the Town of Huntingdon and County of Carroll adjoining the Publick Square in Said Town known in the Plan of Said Town by Lot No. thirteen Situate as follows to wit. Begining on the east Side of the Publick Square at the Southwest Corner of main street Running east with Said Street Sixty five feet thence South forty nine and one half Feet Thence west Sixty five feet thence north with the line of the Publick Square forty-nine feet and one half feet to the beginning the lot or parsel of ground aforesaid with all and Singular the Heredelaments in and to the Same belonging to have and To Hold to the Said Edward Gwin his heirs and asigns forever and the Said Alexander McRae for himself his heirs and asigns with the Said Edward Gwin His heirs and asigns doth covenant and agree the title to the lot or parcel of gro und aforesaid against the claim or claims of all and evry person or persons Whosoever to warrent and forever to defend in testamony where of the Said Alexan der McRae hereunto Sets his hand and Seal this 24th day of June 1828 Signd Seal & delivered the date above written & In presence of A.M.
