A. Moore to D. McDonald, 1 Lot Christmasville This Indenture made and entered into this 3rd day of February 1849 between H. A. Moore of the one part & David McDonald of the other both of the county of Carroll and State of Tennessee Witnesseth that I the first named H. A. Moore has this day bargained held & do by these presents convey unto him the aforesaid David McDonald his heirs and assigns for the sum of forty five Dollars to me in hand paid the receipt & payment whereof is hereby acknowledged contain lot or parcel of land with all the appertainances lying and being in the Town of Christmasville Carroll County, Tennessee and bounded as follows commencing on the N. West corner of the lot conveyed to Hardy Pope by Wm. Travis thence west along the street or Road forty six feet to a stake thence south forty five feet to a stake thence east forty six feet to a stake on said Popes West boundary line of his lot Thence North with said line forty five feet to the beginning I do further covenant with the said David McDonald that I am lawfully seized of said lot or land & have a good right to convey it & that the same is unincumbered I further covenant and bind myself my heirs Executors Administrators or assigns to warrant and defend the title to the aforesaid David McDonald his heirs or assigns forever against the lawfull claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony I have hereunto Signed my name & affixed my Seal This 3rd day of February 1849. Test H. A. Moore James Moore Wm. P. Mitchell State of Tennessee, Carroll County Personally appeared before me Young W. Allen Clerk of the county court of said County Hugh A. Moore with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he signed the within deed for the purposes there set forth and on the day it bears date.
