A. Moore to J. McDonald, 67 ½ acres This Indenture made & Entered into Between Hugh A. Moore of the one part & John McDonald of the other part Both of the State of Tennessee and County of Carroll and as follows To wit I the aforesaid Hugh A. Moore hath this day Bargained and Sold and By these presents to Bargain Sell and Convey unto the Said John McDonald and his heirs forever for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred & Twenty five Dollars to me in hand paid the receipt and Payment whereof is hereby acknowledged a certain tract or parcel of Land lying & Being in the state and county aforesaid and in Range 2 and Section 4 Being the South half of an Entry of One Hundred and Thirty five acres made in the name of and Granted to Thomas Moore by the State of Tennessee and Bounded as follows To wit Beginning on a hickory with Pointers the south East corner of Entry No. 1131 for Eighty Seven acres in the Name of A. Province Runs north with the East Boundary line of the Same 95 poles to a Beach the N E Corner of the same on the South Boundary line of Entry No. 106 for 640 acres in the Name of C. Jones Thence East with said line 105 poles to a Hickory with Beach and sweet gum pointers the North west corner of Entry No. 10 for 150 acres in the name of Wm. McLure Thence south with his line passing the south west corner of the same and with the west Boundary of a 50 acre Entry in the name of Said McLure in all 95 poles to a hickory stump at the mouth of Dry Creek on the west bank of the South for of the Obion River said McLure's SW corner thence west 3 poles to a stake with hornbeam & sweet gum pointers Thence South 62 poles to a hornbeam with hornbeam and sweet gum pointers Then west 113 poles to a maple with hornbeam and maple Pointers then South 29 poles to a small hornbeam with hornbeam Ellum and Holly pointers Thence west 58 poles to a Small black oak sapling with hornbeam Ellum maple and white oak pointers on the East boundary line of Entry No. 2187 Thence North with the same 91 poles to a Beach Thence East with the same 92 poles to the beginning So as to include an occupant Entry No. 1479 the South side or half of said Entry as above described tract of land Being as containing Sixty Seven and one half acres the Division line to Run through said tracts from East to west I do covenant and agree with the said John McDonald That I am lawfully seized of said land and has a good right to convey the same and that it is unincumbered I do covenant and Bind myself my heirs Executors Adms. & ? To warrant and forever defend the title to the said land with all its appurtenances to the said John McDonald & his heirs against the lawful claim or claims of all persons whatever In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand 7 affix my Seal this the 4th day of Feburary 1853.
