Scates & Pheby Scates Bk E, Pg. 318 Grantee: A. H. Scates Date: 3 Jun 1841 Land: Lot No. 2 This Indenture made & concluded this 3rd day of June 1841 Between F. T. Scates and Pheby Scates Executors of A. N. Scates deceased of the County of Carroll & State of Tennessee of the first part and A. H. Scates of the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee of the Second part Witnesseth that for and in the consideration of the Sum of Two hundred & fifty dollars to them in hand paid the F. T. Scates & P. Scates Executors of A. N. Scates deceased hath this day Sold to said Scates Lot No. 2 as Known on the plan of the Town of Christ= masville in said County of Carroll including the Tan yard at present occupied by said Scates with all the privileges and appurtenances of in and to the Same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Scates his heirs assigns Executors or adm-inistrators forever and the F. T. & P. Scates doth hereby cove-nant and agree to and with the said Scates that the before recited Lot and bargained premises they will forever warrant and defend in fee Simple to the said Scates his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whomsoever Witness my hands and Seals the day and date above written. T. Scates & Pheby Scates the makers of this deed & that they acknowledged that they Signed the Same for the purposes Set forth & on the day it bears date Given under my hand at Office this 8th day of July 1841.
