Inch State of Tennessee, 12th District By virtue of entry No. 637 dated the 11th April 1821 founded on Certificate No. 1051 issued by the Commissioners of West Tennessee to William McClure for 256 Acres of land - I have Surveyed for Alexnder Gwin assignee of William McClure two Hundred & fifty six acres of land Situate on the waters of the South fork of Obion River in Range two and Section four Beginning on a stake 2 miles one hundred & sixty poles west& one mile & forty poles south from the North East corner of said section with a large red oak small poplar two black oaks & post oak pointers on the point of a ridge the south East corner of a 1000 Acre survey in the name of the President & Trustees running West with their south boundary 61 poles to a creek runs to the left from thence ? poles to a branch runs to the left from thence 20 poles to a creek runs to the left in all two hundred and twenty five poles to a stake with pointers Thence south 73 poles to a creek runs to the left in all one hundred & Eighty two poles to a stake 2 mulberry Hickory ash & dogwood pointers Thence East 48 poles to a creek runs to the right from thence 82 poles to a creek runs to the right in all 225 poles to a Hicory sapling & pointers standing in a small hollow Thence south 182 poles to the beginning.
