I Ruth Chambliss being of sound mind and enjoying good health thanking the giver of all good for the kind mercy bestowed upon me do make and constitute this my last will and testament herby revoking all other wills by me made. Item first my will and desire is that my body be decently buried and that my spirit return to God who gave it. Item 2nd As it respects my worldly goods my will and desire is that my negro boy Henry be given by my Executor to Margaret Parker my grand daughter and daughter of James C. Parker and Elizabeth Parker and if my grand daughter Margaret Parker should die without issue then and in that case my desire is that my grand son Priestlley Parker have the avove named boy Henry. Item 3rd. My will and desire is that my Executor give Burnell R. Chambliss one hundred Dollars in cash of moneys on hand and if not on hand at my death then out of the first money that may be raised out of the proceeds of my Estate. Item 4th. My will and desire is that the balance of my Estate of every discription be equally divided between my following named children Elizabeth Parker wife of James C. Parker Margaret Wallace wife of William Wallace Seth H. Chambliss Sarah Sweany or her children and my desire is that my Executors withhold from Hillerary Sweanys two children their fathers distributive share of his mother Sarah Sweany portion of my Estate untill they arrive to the age of twenty one years and also for my said Executors to withhold that portion of els Mother Martha Ann Settles part of my Estate comeing down to her by her mother mother Sarah Sweany untill my great grand child Martha Ann Settles child becomes twenty one years of age and then when the above named great grand children shall arrive at twenty one years of age my Executors pay them over their distributive shares of my Estate descending through their Grand mother Sarah Sweany with Six per cent thereon commencing to count the interest from the time that my Estate is dividable or would have come to the hands of my daughter Sarah Sweany if she had been living Also my desire is that the children of my daughter Rebecca Ann Avens wife of Thomas Avens have a share that will be equal in quoto with any of my other children above named and that my Executors withhold from those who will be minors their portion of my Estate descending to them through their mother Rebecca Ann Aven untill they arrive to the age of twenty one years and then pay them with six per cent to commence counting the interest at the time of their mother would have been able to it of she has been living and those of my grand children children of R. A. Aven who are twenty one years their proportionable part over directly to them so soon as their mother would have been able to secure the same. Item 5th. I have heretofore advanced my daughter Martha Beshhart a negro girl by the name of Eliza with Eight hundred Dollars and my desire is that out of my Estate my other five children be advanced that sum after paying Burnel R. Chambers one hundred Dollars and giving up Margaret Parker if living or dead without issue priestly Parker the boy Henry hertofore in this will disposed of the sum of Eight hundred Dollars cash the balance to be equally divided between all six of my children or my childrens children after paying all my just debts and lastly I nominate and appoint my son Seth H. Chambliss and my son in law James C. Parker my Executors to carry into effect & otherwise my Executors to sell and convey titles to any lands that belong to my estate in any wise and also to any of my servants for the purpose of Distributins after giving twenty days notice of the time and place of selling and sell either lands and negroes or both as the case may be and convey and perfect titles to either as if I myself was doing it.
