This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Anonymous ==================================================================== JASON COX'S WILL I Jason Cox of the County of Carroll State of Tennessee do make and publish this my list will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and first I direct that that my body be decently intered And as to such worldly estate as it has pleased God to entrust me with I dispose of the same as follows: First I direct that all my debts and funeral expences be paid as soon after my decease as possible out of any moneys that I may die possess of or may first come into the hand of my Executors from any portion of my estate real or personal. Secondly I give and bequeath to my wife Winney Cox the balance of my personal and real estate consisting of one hundred and ninety Acres of land four slaves Namely Leven Sally Allen and Harvy with all my stock of horses mules cattle hogs and sheap wag on farming tools household and kitchen furniture together with all moneys which I may die possessed of not otherwise disposed of in this my will during her natural life and at her death it is my will and bequeath that the whole of said estate both real and personal be equally divided amony my daughters to wit Martha Nancy and Winny as an equivalent to whate I have heretofore give to my other children to wit Halelen Cox Elizabeth Person Henry W. Cox Sherwood Cox Lyia McClerkin Edno Pritchard Eliza A. Rosser Nelson Cox and Mary Jane Key to who I will and bequeath one Dollar each. I do hereby make ordain and appoint Joseph R.
