In the name of God Amen. I James Fergus of the County of Carroll and State of
Tennessee being at this present time of Sound mind & memory and calling to
mind the uncertainty of life do make this my last Will & Testament in manner &
form following, to wit:

First I will and order that all my lawfull debts (if any there be at my
decease) and Funeral expences be discharged out of my estate by my Executor
hereinafter mentioned. 2nd. I will and order that out of my estate these be
paid by my said executor one year after my decease, the following legacies to
wit: To my Daughter Esther Staten Ten Dollars, To my Daughter Sarah Goggin ten
Dollars. To my Daughter Nancy Fisher Cavan Ten Dollars. To my Daughter Jane
Wersener Ten Dollars. To the heirs of my Daughter Martha Reid Deceased Ten
Dollars & to my son John Fergus one Dollar. And to the heirs of my Son James
Fergus deceased one Dollar, having heretofore provided for them I make no more
provision for them in this my last will. 3rd In consideration for the great
care & attention paid to me in my declineing years and increasing infermity by
my present wife Susan Fergus and that she may have wherewithall to support in
case she lives to helpless old age, after the above debts (if any) expences &
legacies aforesaid be paid. I give will bequeath & divise to my said wife
Susan Fergus all and singular the remainder of my estate both real and
personal without exception to her the said Susan Fergus forever to be disposed
as she may think proper. And lastly, I will make & ordain my Friend Moses
Green my sole Executor of this my last will & Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & seal this 13 day of September
1936.

This day was produced in open Court the last will & Testament of James Fergus
the execution thereof was duly proven by the oaths of Amos Waddell & Milton
Braby the subscribing witnesses thereto as being his act and deed for the
purposes therein expressed.
